Eymet is famous for several important annual events. Here are just two of them which both take place in August.
Firstly, a grand Medieval fete, and secondly, on the 15th of August a white wine and oyster day. A must for enthusiasts!

Eymet celebrates Nature On may 24th and 25th, the second edition of Nature Festival will be celebrated. A national event to which Eymet Tourist Office and the Leisure Centre are associated for the first time. This free event will concern everybody, young and old, who want to know how to better appreciate the richness of biodiversity and learn how to protect or celebrate nature. Close to my tree... The Eymet Leisure centre is organising some events with a theme of environment and trees. - Exhibition of photos and drawings of remarquable trees. - Setting up of a "tree" made by the children, its branches will bear drawings, poems, or any things related to nature. The treasures of l'Escourroux Open to the water in 1995, in a preserved environment, the Escourroux lake, with his 120 acres, is one the largest artificial water reserve in Aquitaine. With the participation of a professional naturalist, the tourist office suggests a morning walk on the lakeside. You will enjoy deciphering the countryside, observation of fauna and flora.... Sunday 25th, may. Meeting point Touron de Saint Sulpice d'Eymet, direction St Foy la grande, then Soumensac. Parking near the lake. Watch out, this is a nature trail not a walking trail. FAUNA AND FLORA FESTIVAL 4TH EDITION From May 31st till June 8th 2008
In the south of Dordogne, in Bergerac Country, The towns of Eymet, Puyghilhem (Thénac), Sigoulès, Cunèges et Saussignac give a warm welcome to the Art Caravan. Artists from all corners of Aquitaine are coming to present their creations on plants and animals, through diverse techniques (paint, sculpture, photos, videos, sounds..) Full of poetry and very entertaining for the whole family and public of all ages.
